🍸 SK Luxe Brand Story: From Queens in the Making to SK Luxe

I didn’t always feel like the top-shelf version of myself.

In college at the University of South Alabama, I was just a girl trying to find her place. I joined a sorority on a whim, hoping to belong somewhere, but it wasn’t the right fit for me. Anxiety drove a lot of my decisions in those days — I was eager to fit in, but I often ignored my own intuition.

Still, even then, I had a fire for building something bigger than myself. I created a Facebook group called Queens in the Making — a safe space for women to find themselves, support one another, and celebrate genuine sisterhood. It was about empowerment, motivation, and reminding women of their worth.

The truth? I was still wrestling with my own darkness. I wanted to pour into other women, but I didn’t yet know how to consistently pour into myself. I hosted a giveaway for the group — got the prizes ready, packed up, and then reality hit me: I was a broke college student and couldn’t even afford the shipping. Instead of asking for help, I let shame take over and disappeared. Ghosted the group. I felt like a fraud — like I’d ruined something that had so much potential.

But looking back, I see it differently now. Queens in the Making was the seed. It was proof that my heart has always been for women — their worth, their confidence, their self-love. I just didn’t yet have the tools, resources, or discipline to sustain it.

Years later, in 2023, I took another leap of faith. I enrolled in a lash course and launched SK Lash & Brow Bar. It was small, imperfect, and scary — but it was mine. That leap gave me a glimpse of what I was capable of when I stopped letting fear dictate my future.

By 2025, I realized my vision was bigger than lashes. It was about creating a space where women could feel celebrated, confident, and luxe — inside and out. That’s when I rebranded into SK Luxe Beauty Bar.

SK Luxe is the growing, healing, and elevating version of what I dreamed of in college. It’s the full-circle moment. The consistency I lacked then is the discipline I practice now. The shame I felt then is the confidence I stand in today.

✨ SK Luxe isn’t just about beauty — it’s about becoming. It’s the cocktail of confidence, self-worth, and celebration I always wanted to serve women. Because sis, you’re not watered down. You’re top shelf. 🍸
